Maria José Feio made the Portugal representative on the IPROMEDAI COST action

Maria José Feio, UCIBio researcher based at the department of chemistry and biochemistry, University of Porto was made the Portugal representative on the COST action, " Improved Protection of Medical Devices Against Infection (IPROMEDAI)".

Maria José Feio was also made leader of the Antimicrobial Active Compounds workgroup, and is in addition organising the first meeting of the COST action, to be held in Porto in October 2014. Maria Feio's research interests include microbial resistance, biofilms, and naturally-derived antimicrobials. Paula Gameiro, also from UCIBIO was also made a member of the management commitee of the same COST action.
