There are 19 researchers from UCIBIO among the top 2% of the world’s most highly-cited scientists, according to the 2023 data-update for "Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators". The study, developed by the American University of Stanford, coordinated by John P.A. Ioannidis, ranks career-long scientific impact of researchers from around the globe, and it was supported by Scopus, an online and international database of scientific articles and citations, in various types, for academic newspapers and magazines.  

 

The updated version released now, based on the previous study, is based on the October 1, 2023 snapshot from Scopus, updated to end of citation year 2022, and highlights 19 UCIBIO researchers among the most influential worldwide: Alexandra R. Fernandes, Ana Catarina Silva, Ana Cecília Roque, Catarina Roma-Rodrigues, Eliana B. Souto, Félix Carvalho, Fernando Fernandez-Llimos, Filomena Freitas, Isabel F. Almeida, João P. Silva, José Paulo Sampaio, Márcia Carvalho, Maria A.M. Reis, Maria Helena Amaral, Paulo Costa, Pedro M. Costa, Pedro V. Baptista, Ricardo Jorge Dinis-Oliveira, and Vera Marisa Costa
