Cecília Roque, head of the Biomolecular Engineering Lab at UCIBIO, has been chosen by the national newspaper Expresso as one of the 20 portuguese top researchers. In the Expresso news Cecília Roque explains her project on artificial noses to detect microorganisms. The scientist developed a set of sensors that can identify microorganisms in a quicker and no-invasive way through odour released.
Expresso, has been engaged on a project, in partnership with PT, Banco Popular and Health Cluster, dedicated to science and research. The project 20+20 joins 20 portuguese top researchers with 20 top private stakeholders to debate the new agenda for universities and companies. This project is institutionally supported by Carlos Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation.
