IUCS-CESPU is part of the European consortium Talent-CGT, funded with €1.3 million, which aims to develop advanced training and innovative educational materials in the field of cellular and genetic therapies.
The project brings together higher education institutions from Portugal, the Netherlands, and Poland, and seeks to prepare lecturers and students for the emerging challenges of next-generation therapies through a “Teach-the-Teacher” educational model.
The participation of UCIBIO-IUCS-CESPU is coordinated by researchers Sara Ricardo and Filipa Sobral, who emphasise the strategic importance of this initiative:
"This is a priority area in which Europe aims to assume a global leadership role," highlights Sara Ricardo.
"Our goal is to equip future healthcare professionals with solid knowledge in cellular and genetic therapies," adds Filipa Sobral.
Through this participation, UCIBIO-IUCS-CESPU reinforces its mission to promote global health from a One Health perspective, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge and training.
