Abstract
Lectins are non-immunoglobulin proteins possessing at least one non-catalytic domain that binds reversibly to specific carbohydrates. In this seminar Edson Teixeira will present some biological activities of lectins isolated from plants and marine organisms results of researchs developed in Integrated Laboratory of Biomolecules (UFC- Fortaleza-Brasil) and in collaboration with the Glycoimmunology Group (DCV/FCT).
