The CrystalSense Solutions team composed by researchers from FCT-UNL will present their project “CrystalSense Solutions - Patterning your Senses” in COHiTEC 2014 Cecília Roque, head of Biomolecular Engineering Lab, and her team composed by Ana Margarida Dias, Ana Sofia Pina and Ricardo Branco, participated in COHiTEC 2014 program. The program aims to support the valuation of the knowledge produced at Portuguese R&D institutions. On July 1, the tech-based projects that participated in COHiTEC 2014 will be presented publicly in a Closing Session that will take place at Porto Business School, starting at 2 pm.  
Maria João Ramos is Vice-Rector for Research and Development On June 27th, Professora Maria João Ramos, from UCIBIO at Universidade do Porto, has been elected to be Vice-Rector for Research and Development of the Universidade do Porto.   The ceremony where the new Rectoral Team took oath for their posts took place at “Salão Nobre” of the Universidade do Porto.
Professor Robert Huber, Nobel Prize for Chemistry, at UCIBIO, FCT NOVA Professor Robert Huber from Max-Planck-Institut für Biochemie in Germany gave a seminar at the library auditorium, as part of the Cycle of Conferences on Crystallography, within the scope of the International Year of Crystallography. Professor Robert Huber visited the laboratories of Chemistry Department during the morning, and researchers had the opportunity to talk to him about their work.  
Robert Huber, Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1988, at UCIBIO Professor Robert Huber from Max-Planck-Institut für Biochemie in Germnay, is visiting UCIBIO at FCT NOVA, today 23rd June 2014.   During the morning he will be visiting the laboratories and it is an excellent opportunity to listen to Professor Robert Huber. He is giving a seminar at 3 pm in the library auditorium, entitled “Beauty and Fitness for Purpose: the architecture of proteins, the building blocks of life”.
