Five CEEC positions awarded to UCIBIO researchers
Five UCIBIO researchers have been awarded a contract in the 2020 Individual Scientific Employment Stimulus Competition (CEEC), which is the third edition of this call promoted by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) for doctoral researchers in all scientific areas.

The “Summer School UCIBIO-NOVA - Initiation to Research in Applied Biomolecular Sciences”, under the scope of Verão com Ciência has finished, after a 3-month intensive period. Funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), UCIBIO-NOVA hosted 15 graduated and master students, integrated within the initiative of promoting exclusively presential classes at Summer Schools.
PURE: a new FET-Open Project to innovate biopharmaceuticals manufacturing
The European PURE project received a funding of nearly €3 million to develop sustainable processes to manufacture biopharmaceuticals, which include biological drugs such as antibodies and viral particles, used in cancer treatment and in vaccination, respectively.
Applications open to 8 PhD Fellowships at UCIBIO-NOVA
UCIBIO opens a call for 8 PhD fellowships in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and related areas. These fellowships will be funded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT), based on a collaboration protocol with the Research Unit on Applied Molecular Biosciences - UCIBIO.
